How-To: Create a User Account

Create a user account:

Get set up on the Be The People platform to start sharing stories, posting opportunities, or engaging with projects in your community. It only takes a few minutes to get set up. Follow the steps below, or watch the short video for a step-by-step overview.

1. Visit www.bethepeople.org

Navigate to the platform homepage and click the 'Join Us' button in the center of the page, or the 'Log In or Sign Up' button on the top right corner.

2. Click sign up

Fill out all Required Fields

• Provide your email address
• Create an account password
• Provide your first name and last name
• Check all applicable boxes
• Select Create Account

(If you are a staff member administering project pages for your organization, use your work email address.)

3. Confirm your email

You will receive an email from bethepeople.org which verifies your email address.

4. Complete email verification

Select the link listed in the email to complete email verification.

5. Log in to the BTP platform

The link will lead you back to the BeThePeople.org homepage, where you can now login and start sharing stories, posting opportunities, or engaging with projects!
