Reef Expeditions, a Cincinnati-based 501(c)(3) conservation nonprofit, is seeking motivated volunteers to join our Emerging Leaders Council.
The Emerging Leaders Council is designed for students and emerging professionals who want meaningful, hands-on experience in conservation, nonprofit leadership, research, education, communications, fundraising, community engagement, and program development.
Council members will have opportunities to work directly with Reef Expeditions leadership, Board members, scientists, educators, and conservation professionals while helping shape and expand our programs.

Reef Expeditions’ programs include coral reef research, marine conservation, river cleanups, invasive-species removal, habitat restoration, educational field expeditions, public lectures, and international conservation projects.
Our leadership team includes professionals with backgrounds in coral reef ecology, marine science, NOAA sanctuary management, university education, wildlife conservation, aquaculture, habitat restoration, and international field research.
We are looking for people who are dependable, curious, collaborative, and genuinely interested in conservation. Prior professional conservation experience is not required. We especially value applicants who want to contribute their existing skills while also developing new ones.
The Council will include approximately 8–10 members.
