Volunteers are one of the most powerful ways Local First Arizona mobilizes communities across the state. By supporting our food access and community initiatives, volunteers help connect residents to fresh, nourishing foods while creating welcoming spaces that celebrate local food and the people who grow, make and share it.
Dig in at The People’s Garden, a thriving Central Phoenix space uplifting community growers and entrepreneurs while fostering environmental sustainability and connection.
Depending on the season, volunteers will help with:
- Watering, weeding, planting and harvesting
- Performing general garden maintenance and beautification
- Composting and site cleanup
Shifts are the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
