Army of Normal Folks is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace & CarePortal for a community Bed Build at the Lynette Woodard Recreation Center. Together, volunteers will help build approximately 30 beds for children in need, helping ensure more kids in our community have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
The build will take place in the recreation center's parking lot and tennis courts, bringing volunteers together in the heart of the community for a meaningful day of service.
Join us on November 7 from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM for a hands-on Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build. Volunteers will work alongside SHP team members through an organized build process that may include sanding, drilling, assembling, staining, and preparing beds for children and families.
No previous construction or woodworking experience is required. Volunteers will receive guidance throughout the build, so whether you're comfortable with tools or simply willing to lend a hand, there is a place for you to serve.
