COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing homelessness and empowering underserved communities through housing assistance, workforce development, education, financial literacy, community outreach, and youth and family programs. We proudly serve veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, formerly incarcerated individuals, domestic violence survivors, at-risk youth, and low-to-moderate income families throughout the Greater Houston area.
As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Front-End Web Developer to help modernize and expand our digital presence to better serve thousands of community members.

We are looking for a highly experienced, creative, and mission-driven Front-End Web Developer who is passionate about using technology to make a meaningful social impact. This volunteer will work closely with our leadership team to develop user-friendly, responsive, and visually engaging web experiences that increase community engagement, volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and program accessibility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional developer who wants to apply their technical expertise to help a growing nonprofit strengthen its digital infrastructure and expand its community impact.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, mobile-friendly web pages and landing pages.
- Improve website user experience (UX) and interface (UI).
- Collaborate with leadership on website strategy and functionality.
- Optimize website performance, accessibility, and SEO.
- Build and maintain reusable front-end components.
- Integrate forms, donation pages, volunteer registration, event registration, and program applications.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
- Assist with website enhancements and future digital initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with volunteer designers, developers, and marketing professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Experience with WordPress and custom theme development.
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular is preferred.
- Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
- Experience optimizing website speed and accessibility.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
