SNB Circle Corp is a New Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization strengthening its housing stability and housing counseling capacity. We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Senior Housing Counseling Advisor to help guide the development of a professional, compliant, and sustainable housing counseling operation.
The advisor will work with organizational leadership as SNB Circle develops its Housing Stability & Eviction Prevention Program and prepares for future participation in the HUD housing counseling system.

Attend Orientation, Background Check
- Provide guidance on housing counseling program development and operations.
- Advise on HUD housing counseling requirements, agency readiness, policies, procedures, documentation, and quality-control practices.
- Help strengthen intake, assessment, case management, follow-up, referral, and housing-stability processes.
- Review program materials and recommend improvements based on housing counseling best practices.
- Help identify appropriate partnerships, training opportunities, funding resources, and capacity-building strategies.
- Provide guidance as SNB Circle builds the organizational experience and infrastructure necessary for long-term housing counseling services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in HUD housing counseling, housing stability, eviction prevention, foreclosure prevention, homeownership counseling, or a related housing field.
- Knowledge of HUD housing counseling requirements and nonprofit housing program operations strongly preferred.
- Experience with program development, compliance, quality control, grants, or housing counseling agency management is highly valued.
- Current or previous HUD housing counselor certification is a plus.
- Commitment to helping communities achieve greater housing and financial stability.
This is a volunteer advisory and capacity-building role. It is especially appropriate for an experienced housing professional, retired or semi-retired practitioner, nonprofit leader, or housing counselor interested in helping a developing nonprofit build a strong housing counseling program.
