Organized Friendly Senior Visits in DC

Join We Are Family staff and other volunteers to visit with seniors in their homes at this monthly Saturday event! We will meet up at a central location in Northwest DC, and after a brief orientation volunteers will be sent out in pairs or family units to visit with some of the many seniors we serve in surrounding neighborhoods. We work with over 1,000 seniors annually, and many of them are very isolated and have limited opportunity to interact with others. They have seen so much and have amazing stories and experiences to share. Spend a few hours of your weekend to help brighten the lives of your senior neighbors in DC! You may meet a senior you really connect with, and there is always the possibility to visit with that same person again. Space is limited for these events.
