Music is powerful. It brings people together and reminds us we’re part of something bigger. “Gotta Be Us (Be The People)” was created to illustrate how many different voices can come together to become one.
The song is about how each of us has an important role to play in our country today. It's up to all of us to make a better future, one community at a time. The song celebrates the millions of Americans who show up for others every day and encourages everyone to Be The People. Performed by up-and-coming artists across R&B, Soul, Pop, Country, and Rap and produced by Grammy–nominated producer Poo Bear, it insists — "we're the proof" — that real progress is built by people showing up for one another where they live.
More than a recording, this is an invitation to make “Gotta Be Us (Be The People)” your own. Reimagine the song in a different genre, rewrite a verse, create an accompanying dance — then tag @bethepeople and share it using #BeThePeopleOpenCall.
