Breakaway Festival 2026 NYC

Music, Art & Community in Brooklyn
Another stop on the Be The People Civic Summer Tour — and what a way to kick off Breakaway's first-ever New York City festival.
On July 17, we headed to Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn for Breakaway NYC music festival, presented by CELSIUS and with performances from Tiësto, D.O.D., Lilly Palmer, Oppidan, Camoufly, ARLO, and Wes Mills. The festival brought big energy to one of New York's most unique venues, with two stages, a silent disco, interactive experiences, and activities spread throughout the grounds.
We were proud to be among the organizations helping bring those experiences to life through partnering with Breakaway 360 — the experiential marketing arm of Breakaway Music Festival focused on bringing together brands, nonprofits, and creators to connect with audiences through culture, community, and shared experiences. It's a natural fit for Be The People, allowing us to meet people where they already are and introduce them to organizations, volunteer opportunities, and ways to make an impact long after the festival ends.
One of the best parts of the day wasn't just the music, but everything happening between the sets. Festivalgoers gathered around the live artwork from BelowKeyNYC, stopping to take photos, ask questions, and to start conversations that often turned into discussions about community and giving back. It was a reminder that some of the most memorable moments at a festival can happen off the stage.
The summer isn’t over yet. If you're heading to Breakaway Philadelphia on September 11–12, come find us. We'd love to hear your story, introduce you to organizations making a difference, and help you discover simple ways to make an impact in your own community.
